Comprehensive Strength of the City

    National economy keeps sustainable and rapid growth for five years and economic aggregate improves greatly. The secondary industry’s contribution to economic growth reaches 58.4%, driving the economy of the whole city to grow 9.3%, of which, contribution of industry to economic growth is 51.3%, driving the economy of the whole city to grow 8.2%. The structure of three industries has been adjusted as 6.1:43.5:50.4 from 6.7:39.0:54.3 in 2000; the proportion of the secondary industry improves 4.5%, of which the proportion of industry is 37.7%, an increase of 3.2 %.

    Local financial resources boost up, and income and expenditure increase rapidly. Local financial income has accomplished RMB 18.15 billion yuan, an increase of 30.1% over the previous year and 2.8 times over year 2000 on comparable basis, annual growth rate is 30.8% on average and maintains a speeding up of over 30% for continuous five years. The expenditure of local finance is RMB 25.34 billion yuan, an increase of 24.6%, in which, agricultural expenditure is RMB 860 million yuan, an increase of 19.7%; technological expenditure is RMB 530 million yuan, an increase of 24.6%; educational expenditure is RMB 2.77 billion yuan, an increase of 19.0%; social security expenditure is RMB 3.74 billion yuan, an increase of 18.2%; urban maintenance expenditure is RMB 3.15 billion yuan, an increase of 34.5%.
