¡¡¡¡Great change has happened to production structure of planting, grain production achieved great harvest. In 2004, gross grain production was 36.54 million tons, increased 822,000 tons than last year, accounting for 29.0%: yield of fruits was 107,000 tons, increasing by 18.2%; yield of vegetable was 20.66 million tons, decreasing 19.3%. ¡¡¡¡Forestry and animal husbandry production keeps stable growth. Shenyang finished afforestation of 28,000 ha. and planted 39.8 million trees. Breed aquatics structure was optimized, adjustment step was speeded up, output value of animal husbandry accounted for 44.4% in gross output value of farm, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery and has become the major industry of rural area in our city. Total meat yield was 595,000 tons, increasing by 26.0% in the whole year; yield of fowls and eggs was 379,000 tons, increasing by 26.5%; milk output was 188,000 tons, increasing by 50.7%; aquatic product output was 142,000 tons, increasing by 6.8%. ¡¡¡¡Agricultural production condition was improved further. Use amount of farm chemical fertilizer was 168,000 tons, plastic film coverage area reached 31,000 ha., effective farm irrigation area was 291,000 ha., increasing by 11.5%. Water-saving irrigation area was 91,000 ha, decreasing 3.3%. ¡¡¡¡Agricultural technology popularization has achieved new development, and continuously develops scale operation to keep improving modern agriculture level. In 2004, the whole city established 12 farmer technological training bases; newly established 697 various economic areas for enriching farmers; there were 56 agricultural demonstration parks, including 17 provincial level modern agricultural parks, 32 vegetable protection bases and 10 flower production bases; thousand yuan effective farm area was 160,000 ha., increasing by 9.1% than last year. Speeded up to set up professional farmer cooperation, continuously improve farmer organization level. Now 1333 professional farmer cooperative organizations have been organized and developed, increasing by 32%. Actively supported and strengthened the development of agricultural industrialization leading enterprises. By the end of year, there were 310 farm product processing leading enterprises with more than RMB 5.0 million yuan sales income, and annual sales income reached RMB 9.5 billion yuan. Strengthened supervision of farm product production safety and improved farm product quality. By the end of 2004, all farmland of our city has passed environment quality test, pollution free farm products production area reached 163,000 ha., increasing by 116%; 84 types of products have got the certification of pollution free farm products, and 161 pollution free production areas got certification, had 79 types of green foods and 6 types organic foods. ¡¡¡¡Net income per farmer was RMB 4346.99 yuan, increasing by 13.8%, which is the highest year since 1999; living consumption per person was RMB 2377.2 yuan, increasing by 12.7%.

¡¡¡¡Agricultural industrial structure steps speeds up, which has changed low-speed growth pattern for many years and agricultural benefit is greatly improved. Primary industry of the whole year doubly increased, and has created the highest level since 1999. Gross productive value of farm, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery achieved RMB 21.09 billion yuan, increasing by 13.5%, of which, planting was RMB 9.27 billion yuan, forestry RMB 0.44 billion yuan, animal husbandry RMB 9.37 billion yuan and fishery RMB 1.35 billion yuan.
