    There are 29 regular higher learning institutions including 10 higher vocational colleges, recruiting university and junior college students up to 86000. Studying students are 283000 and university and junior college graduates are 63000. Regular higher learning institutions and scientific institutions recruit 9906 postgraduate candidates. There are 25638 studying postgraduate students and 5555 graduating postgraduates.

    There are 483 regular high schools, including 354 regular high schools with 372000 studying students; 34 technical secondary schools with 58000 studying students; 95 vocational high schools with 59000 studying students; and 32 technical schools with 16000 studying students. The enrollment rate of high school graduates is 79.7%.

    There are 977 primary schools with 397000 studying students. The primary school entrance rate for school age population is 99.7% and the enrollment rate for primary school graduates is 99.8%.
